National Smores Day

In honor of National Smores Day - I thought I would share
our family's smores at home.  We heat them in the microwave
for about 30 seconds.  They aren't exactly like roasting over an open fire
but they sure are yummy!!!!  Adding the faces is just a little added touch!
Happy Smores Day!!!!!

Light the Night in Chicago for the Leukemia Lymphomia Society

My brother in law Elliott Hall lost his battle to this senseless disease.  My wonderful mother in law Shirley and sister in law Angela will walk once again this year in his memory.  If you could take a moment and visit their page and if you make a contribution that would awesome.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Slider Feature made with this Punch and some pennies

Now I can't take credit for the slider feature - I learned it at a Stampin Up party I went to a long time ago.  But here is the link for the punch and the Stampin' Up website.

Fairy Slider Card

I have a card to share with you today. This was for Emily's 6th birthday.
 It's a fairy slider card.
I can't remember who the stamp is but the slider feature is a Stampin Up punch.
I used watercolor pencils and gamisol to color her.
Emily loved it!

Kathy's Quilt Blanket

I love to crochet - my Mom taught me when I was 7 and I have been "hooked" ever since   This blanket was made for my BFF's Mom. We have been friends since I was 4 and Kathy was like a mom to me.  For her birthday one year I gave her a bunch of my patterns and told her to pick out one and I would come over and we could pick the colors and I would make it for her as a present. She made us dinner and we had a wonderful time.  Kathy passed away two years ago from congestive heart failure. When she passed her daughter, my BFF gave me the blanket back. I put it away so that I could keep it nice. Well my daughter Emily found it and brought it out this evening and when I came upstairs she had it laid out so perfectly I had to take a picture of it and share. I hope you like it!

Emily's Artwork

This morning I wanted to share with you my daughter's artwork.
The first picture she drew at the beginning of the Kindergarten.  It was
picture of herself.  The second picture is a picture of me she drew on
Mother's Day.  What an amazing difference in just 9 months!
It may just be because I am her mommy, but I think she is
a wonderful artist!  Have a wonderful Sunday morning!

My Room!!!!

Today I wanted to show pictures of my room.  It's a room in my
basement that we cleaned out and painted to make a place for
me to go and create.  I love to go down and get a good movie
fill my cup with Diet Coke and start working!  The cabinet I use to store my
cartridges is a very old stacking bookcase that we inherited from my husband's
grandfather when he passed away.  I love my room and am happy to
share it with you!!!

My Circle Mirror

This is my Circle mirror.  I was so excited the day I became a circle member!
The day my welcome package arrived I was at Home Depot and saw this mirror.
It was cricut green!  I bought it and raced home designed the cricut circle
with the cricut head from Potpourri Basket and the circle from George.
I welded them together with a circle in the middle and them etched
it on the mirror.  Now, a year later, we circle members could just use the
Everday Cricut Cart to make the circle but I kind of like my mirror just the way it is!!!!

Kindergarten Recipe Book

I made this recipe book for my daughter's school Gala Auction.
I used my Imagine - Expression - Gypsy - Your Story to make it
Cartridge used were: Kate's Kitchen & Printing Press
This book was definitely a labor for love and I am glad
that during the auction I outbid the rest of the other Mom's
so I could take the book home all for myself!!!

Bookmarks

These bookmarks were made for my Daughter's kindergarten class for her 100 book challenge
I used the Create a Critter cartridge from ProvoCraft and Alphalicious for the font.
I then laminated them so they can use them over and over.
My Emily uses her's everyday!  She loves it!

My Station of Beauty!!!!

I love my shelf that the wonderful and cricut talented Jackie Russett shared with all of us on the circle message board.  It was so super easy to make and I love that all my machines are right there and I saved space.  If you want to see all the other wonderful things Jackie makes here is a link to her blog:

My Scraplift Circle Blog Challenge

This was a lot of fun to make.  I went with some scrappy buddies to an all day crop.  Now most people with try and get as many layouts as they can done.  Not me!!!  I chose to make this for the Cricut Circle monthly challenge which was to take an idea from the amazing blog we get exclusive rights to as being members and make it your own.  I used paper from Bazzil, Bo Bunny, and Mind's Eye.  The cuts are from Winter Frolic and the adorable face is stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps.  I loved making this and although it's the only layout I made that day I had a great time!!!

My painter's tray

Here is a non cricut related project I made for my Mother in Law.  It is made with 7 Gypsies painter tray and October Beauty paper "School Days".  It was sooo much fun to make.  When I made it I wanted to give it a 3D look so I pop dotted so images up and actually put some on top of the tray to make it pop.  I hope you like it!
